UV Light Curing Products
On-demand curing of adhesives, resins, coatings, fibreglass, paints and primers.
We have a wide range of UV lamps for curing and bonding applications, your equipment selection criteria should be based on your particular process requirements:
- UV wavelength (determined by the UV curable material you are working with)
- UV irradiance or dose levels (as above)
- Curing area (exposure should be restricted to the working area)
Our friendly, helpful team have over 50 years experience in helping organisations implement a safe and effective UV light process, so should you wish to discuss you requirements or request a quotation for suitable solution, please call 0121 423 2000 or send us a message.
In recent years UV light curing of materials, a photochemical polymerisation process, has experienced rapid growth and figures amongst the most exciting and versatile material technologies.
UV light curing technology is environmentally friendly and contributes significantly to a worldwide reduction in VOCs (volatile organic compounds). It is considered to be the most effective way to transform a solvent-free liquid resin into a solid polymer almost instantly at ambient temperature.
This provides a number of unique advantages in terms of speed of cure, absence of solvents, energy savings, versatility and high-performance material properties.
Examples of types of UV light curing materials and their applications include:
- UV structural adhesives for bonding glass, ceramics, ferrites, plastics and metals.
- UV glob tops and chip coats used in smart card production.
- UV potting compounds, encapsulants and conformal coatings for electronic component protection.
- UV paints used in the auto refinish industry.
- UV inks and coatings for graphic arts.
- UV hardening polyester resin/fibreglass composite materials for rapid repairs.
