Fluid Leak Detection
Detecting fluid leaks quickly and accurately is essential for maintaining equipment integrity, preventing costly repairs, and ensuring environmental safety. UV light technology offers a highly effective, non-invasive method for locating leaks in various systems, including those carrying water, oils, fuels, coolants, and refrigerants. How It Works?
A UV fluorescent additive is introduced into the fluid system and allowed to circulate as the system operates normally. The additive mixes thoroughly with the fluid, ensuring it reaches all potential leak points. When inspected under a UV blacklight, leaks become immediately visible as a bright fluorescent yellow/green glow, simplifying detection in hard-to-reach areas.
UV Equipment Options
We offer a range of UV inspection tools for fluid leak detection:
- Handheld UV Lamps: Portable and convenient for spot inspections.
- Fixed-Mount Units: Ideal for continuous monitoring in industrial setups.
- Waterproof Options: Suitable for use in damp or wet environments, providing flexibility in challenging conditions.
Selecting the Right UV Solution for Fluid Leak Detection
To achieve optimal results, your UV light system should:
- Emit the Correct Wavelength: Typically around 365 nm, ideal for fluorescent detection.
- Ensure Adequate UVA Irradiance: Deliver the necessary intensity at the inspection site for clear visibility.
- Provide Sufficient Coverage: Cover the entire inspection area effectively, reducing the need for multiple passes.
By using the appropriate UV inspection equipment, you can enhance leak detection accuracy, improve maintenance efficiency, and ensure regulatory compliance.
